And then there are the governments that massacre their own citizens. I will never forget seeing, in 1993 in Beijing, physical evidence of government brutality on the Tian'anmen Square paving stones.

Another word for assination would be VOTE. Use the lever instead of bullets and you accomplish the same objective.
Although in my opinion we had a serious mental health issue with 73,000,000 people some of who now realize their wasted vote!
