Quite right, Don. Editors are in grievously short supply in today's media. But I suspect many scribblers are just as happy to do without such overseers. You'll recall how correspondents at TIME fussed and groused about those guys in New York messing up their prose. Many of them were relieved when some of them were finally allowed to write for space.
